For the first time in history, a non-European team sets a new sales record thanks to its own uniform.

The almost 3 million pre-orders record (yes, because the currency is not yet available for purchase) obviously comes in (large) part because of Nike that has managed to represent the exuberant typical charisma of Nigerian people through a self-explaining kit.

The idea comes from the nickname of the team, the "Super Eagles": the black and white sleeves represent the wings of the eagle while the color scheme, as well as being a tribute to the uniform of their first participation to the 1994 World Cup, resumes the plumage. The badge on the green jersey is reminiscent of the eagle on the chest of the jersey used during the 1996 Olympics that awarded them the gold medal.

The uniform will also adopt the new Vaporknit breathable technology to ensure greater comfort and freedom of movement for the athletes.

The new Nigeria kit will be available from June 1 with the whole collection entirely dedicated to the 2018 Russia World Cup.
