Nike officially revealed a brand new sneaker designed by Jerry Lorenzo, Fear of God’s founder and sneakers lover.

“It is a shoe that should only be judged by the emotion it gives the kid when he first sees it — however it makes him feel”, stated the Californian designer. It’s not about what was worn, but how it was worn.

The inspiration for the sneaker comes from elements of the ‘90s sport world as Lorenzo admitted his guilt of looking at professional athletes in his youth, basketball in particular. The upper made of canvas and leather hosts a small black swoosh on the Huarache Light-inspired TPU cage whereas the thick white midsole features a double-height rectangular Air Max 180ish Air unit. The lacing system features a rope-like lace with a small transparent tightening toggle.

“This is for all the kids coming up in small cities with big-city dreams”, lastly concluded Jerry LorenzoNike Air Fear of God 1 will be launched in two colorways (light bone and black) December 15th alongside with more products from the collection. Stay tuned for more information.
