Everybody is aware of Pharrell Williams’ affinity with colors: his outfits always incorporate bright, eccentric tones. And the sneakers he designs are definitely not far behind.

The NMD Human Race stems from the desire of sensitizing people to extremely delicate topics, such as cultural biodiversity and social equality. As Pharrell himself points out, sneakers can be powerful means of union between cultures. People should self-educate themselves about the story behind a simple pair of shoes to fully understand their meaning.
This is the case for the new Human Race Holi: the entire collection, conceived by (now effectively) stylist and singer Pharrell Williams, is in fact a hymn to peace, joy and equality. It is a tribute to the Indian tradition of the Holi Festival, a spring event in which people from all over the world meet in north of India to celebrate the victory of good over evil. The liveliness of the event is expressed through colored powders the participants friendly launch among themselves.
And the colors of the powders give life to the upper of the shoe. Each of the NMD Trail, the Tennis and the relative clothing take on vivid shades that allow to express the true spirit of the festival, together with the modernity of the knit upper and the innovation of the boost sole.
