In the thirty years old history of the brand, Jordan has always showed up with characteristics that made Jordan what Jordan is today. In the latest model presented by Tinker Hatfield, the Jordan Standard, those certain characteristics continue to be there, albeit way more hidden.

The Jordan Standard draws inspiration from Sock Dart, originally released in 2004, and especially from their style; the shoe presents more modern features but rather than looking towards the world of basketball (fundamental aspect of every model from Jordan), it has characteristics mainly related to running and lifestyle.

It is no coincidence that the innovations concern functional rather than aesthetic aspects: the hole made on the tongue allows the shoe to be inserted more comfortably and each material has been adopted because of specific reasons. Three fabrics have been used for the production of upper and details,: the soft mesh on the ankle support blends perfectly with the feathered skin of the upper, creating lights and shadows to enhance the monochromatic color of the sneaker, while the stretch-on elastic makes the closure really tight.

As stated by Tinker Hatfield, the shoe "has got plenty of Jordan DNA" because "Jordan has a history of doing things that haven’t been done before".

Jordan Standards will be available in limited quantities on Nike US’ online store starting April 30th, but expect a global release during the second part of the year.
