Vans comes together with London-based fashion brand, Lazy Oaf, to present a head-to-toe collection of footwear and apparel that showcases the creative and whimsical worlds of Vans and Lazy Oaf.
Kicking off the Vans X Lazy Oaf collection are four models of shoes among the most famous of Vans. Gemma Shiel, founder of Lazy Oaf, customized a reissue of Vans’ Style 29. Using canvas pink uppers, this style is juxtaposed with a mono black lug outsole and toe bumper. The Style 29 is finished with checkerboard liner and custom shoe laces that read SORRY I’M LATE. The Old Skool Platform has been remastered to include black suede uppers and a contrasting pink leather Sidestripe. White hearts decorate the side of each black platform outsole and the heel counter of each shoe has been delicately embroidered to say Bad For You. The Checkerboard Slip-On gets upgraded for this collaboration to include Lazy Oaf’s emblematic eye logo amongst the checker motif and is finished with black and white contrast stitch detail, sitting atop a black sole with a pink foxing stripe. Rounding out the footwear offering is an Authentic that has a pretty tough aesthetic. Utilizing delicate floral print uppers, the Authentic is finished with a black to the floor sole that gives the shoe some edge.
Vans X Lazy Oaf also offers a wide range of clothing and accessories to complete your outfits. In addition to the Vans Off The Wall sweatshirt and tees, the collection features two dresses, the Bad For You Dress, with checkered pattern and "Off The Wall" embroidery on the chest, and Floreal Bear Dress, with pink details and an embroidered flower on the chest as well. The checkerboard texture is also present on the Floreal Bear Body and Eyeball Check Skirt, which like the aforementioned slip-ons see the addition of the eye logo on the black squares.
There will also be numerous accessories, including the Eyeball Backpack, the Bear Bag and an Off the Wall baseball cap matching the tees.
The Vans X Lazy Oaf collection will be available from April 24 online and in store.
