Kappa and Japanese brand A.Four Labs are back with another three-way project, this time in collaboration with Shauna Toohey, founder of P.A.M.

In an interview with Highsnobiety, the Australian artist tells us about her vision of streetwear and how this has evolved over the years. She reveals that the collection reflects the message she wanted to share starting from the name "Your total Self”: “It’s the idea of thinking about yourself in the world, in a group of people, rather than thinking of yourself as an individual all the time”, Shauna says.

She then talks about the strong influence that Japanese streetwear culture had on her. The collection revolves around new interpretations of the Kappa logo, which have been blown up across quarter-zip sweats and hoodies, as well as standout football jerseys that are adorned with upside-down iconography and photoshopped flames.

“Why do we need to make 50,000 pairs of sneakers in a year? I’d like to stop and really consider what we’re making, to do something special and slow it down”. That’s how Shauna Toohey expose her vision of streetwear as it is today. Do you agree with her words? The new Kappa X A.Four Labs X Shauna Toohey collection is already available online and in-store at Holypopstore.
