American culture has always been source of inspiration for world streetwear. That’s where Paterson, born from the influence of American pop culture of the 80s and 90s, sets its roots in.
The brand, founded in 2015 by German Nieves in Paterson (New Jersey), brings lots of cult elements of the time. The link with the skateboarding and sportswear is very strong, as well as that with the entertainment world: figures such as Andre Agassi and Steve McQueen, as told by Nieves himself, inevitably influenced the style of the artist making his clothing result as a mix of different cultures. Next to rugby jerseys, the collection features trench coats, vests and essentials such as tees and hoodies. The line is perfectly aligned to recreate that joie de vivre atmosphere sought by Nieves, combining in a single collection lifestyle items "infected" by American pop culture.
