ASICS acronym for the Latin phrase "Anima Sana in Corpore Sano" is a Japanese born sportswear brand, with the ideal to contribute to the progress of society, raising youth through sport.
Founded in 1949 in Kōbe, Japan by Kihachiro Onitsuka, the company was initially known only as Onitsuka Tiger and only produced basketball shoes. On 21 July 1977, the company Onitsuka Co. Ltd. merges with the GTO and JELENK, forming the ASICS Corporation.
ASICS has always strived to achieve technological advances and then provide first-rate sports equipment. There are many collaborations with brands and stylists, among the most important with the American designer RONNIE FIEG.
